Sic Bo is a dice game that, as hinted at by the sound of the name, originated in Asia. "Sic Bo" literally translates to "Small Big", in reference to what is believed as the best bet you can make in this casino game.
Truth be told, Sic Bo offers some of the most attractive bets you can make when casino gambling. There is a broad range of different types of bets you can place, which pay off based on a house's fixed payout table.
Sic Bo makes use of three standard dice: a standard die has six faces, each showing numbers 1 through 6.
The sic bo table layout displays the different types of wagers you can make. You must post your bet on the sic bo table before the game begins. To do so, simply place your chips down within the betting area of your chosen bet.
As there are different types of wagers you can place, you have the option to make a single bet or multiple bets per roll. A game of sic bo begins when three dice are thrown at the same time to produce a roll. After a roll has been made, its outcome established, that betting round is over and bets are won or lost.
Each betting round is separate, and has nothing to do with the preceding or succeeding round. To play again, post another single or multiple bets, upon which the dice are thrown to begin another round.
Here are the different types of bets in Sic Bo:
Dice Face / One of a Kind. It is a bet that a specific number from 1 through 6 will show on any one, any two, or all three dice faces. On the sic bo table layout, this bet is shown as Dice Face 1, or 2, or 3, or 4, or 5, or 6. Payouts depend upon whether you get one, two, or three hits.
Two Faces / Duo. It is a wager that a combination of two specific numbers from 1 through 6 will appear on any two or all three dice. Dice combinations you can bet on are 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 2/3, 2/4, 2/5, 2/6, 3/4, 3/5, 3/6, 4/5, 4/6, 5/6.
